Stakeholder communique in respect of GTC operations during the prevailing Coronavirus pandemic

Dear GTC stakeholder (clients, service providers, staff and colleagues)

GTC’s operations during the prevailing Coronavirus pandemic
Amidst the rapidly changing happenings that we are all experiencing, both as South Africans and global citizens, we at GTC are mindful of the responsibility of ensuring that our business – to the extent possible – carries on as per usual. GTC is highly cognisant of the fiduciary responsibilities we shoulder in dealing with clients’ monies, either as members of retirement funds and/or as private clients.

Business as usual
GTC has staff in offices in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban. We have always prided ourselves on being a technology based business (our online Workflow processes have dictated our business operations for some 15 years now). Accordingly, GTC is more able than many businesses to have staff working from decentralised locations (which conventionally would be from home). GTC has determined that it is socially responsible for the benefit of both clients and our staff that our business operations be as decentralised as is possible at this time. This does not mean that our three physical offices are closed, but rather that many of the staff will be working remotely, mostly from home.

Business processes
We will be making every endeavour to ensure that all business processes adhere to our normal strict timelines and service level commitments. Factors beyond our control which will influence this whilst staff are working remotely include data connectivity, electricity supply (which often determines data connectivity) and the conventional close proximity communications afforded in an office environment.

The GTC experience
To the extent that you think you are receiving a reduced customer experience, please communicate this soonest through your conventional lines of communication and direct an email to me on ceo@gtc.co.za. I will personally respond to your email.

GTC’s landline numbers will continue to operate as normal, though will be answered from an offsite location. We will be keeping our website updated with our current status and any other notifications that could be important to you. You’ll find this at https://gtc.co.za/news/covid- 19-gtc-operations/.

On behalf of all the staff at GTC, I give you our collective commitment that, notwithstanding the unprecedented business circumstances we are currently experiencing, we are all fully committed to ensuring that you receive the usual GTC standards as regards your investments which we manage on your behalf.

Yours sincerely

Gary.
