GTC Securities, formerly Brockhouse Cooper SA has its origins in Brockhouse & Cooper Inc, now Pavilion Financial Corporation, which was established in Montreal in 1968. Brockhouse Cooper entered the South African market in 1997 and formed the local company to provide securities trading, transition management, investment consulting services and portfolio performance monitoring to institutional investors, including investment managers and pension funds.
Integration into GTC
Recently, Brockhouse Cooper in Montreal, Canada, now Pavilion Global Markets, made a strategic decision to focus on North American interests, resulting in their decision to exit South Africa. It was this initiative that provided both Brockhouse Cooper and GTC with the opportunity to create a strategic partnership with a strong South African presence coupled with international recognition.
This investment offers dynamic synergies for GTC Securities as part of an integrated financial services organization.
